This powerful spreadsheet is designed to simplify your financial management processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Key Features
Our spreadsheet offers three primary functions to support your charity’s financial needs: bookkeeping, budgeting, and year-end assistance.
1. Bookkeeping: The bookkeeping function is divided into two worksheets – one for receipts and one for payments. Both worksheets are designed to resemble a form, complete with drop-down menus and conditional formatting to guide users in entering all necessary information correctly and effortlessly.
2. Budgeting: The budgeting feature is an invaluable tool for charity management and trustees. It enables a comprehensive review of actual performance against budgeted expectations. This includes analysing budgeted and actual receipts and payments, along with a cashflow analysis to ensure your charity maintains sufficient cash to operate smoothly.
3. Year-End Assistance: Many charities file accounts with limited analysis, even though the SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) requirements are extensive. It might surprise you to know that OSCR (Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator) does not scrutinise these filings—they simply accept them. Our Year-End worksheet aligns with the OSCR accounting template and automates much of the required analysis. Charities only need to input four key areas: last year’s figures, the statement of balances, and the first page of notes to the accounts.
